You couldn’t Rambo your way through scenarios because you could find yourself facing a really nasty creature without the right kind of ammo/equipment to face it. It created a very tense atmosphere by creating a scarcity in resources. This is when Capcom introduced the world to Resident Evil, which was a horror game that would influence many copycats over the years. This was when Konami still made good games and didn’t treat its employees like feces that leaked out of a monkey’s infected anus, and Capcom wasn’t completely crapping on their most popular franchises. But her laboratory is attacked by an unknown perpetrator, and only Chris` intervention saves Rebecca from certain death. After investigating the case, she discovers out that a new virus is involved and succeeds in developing therapeutic drugs to combat it. Meanwhile, Alexander Institute of Biotechnology Professor Rebecca Chambers - a former member of the Raccoon City Police Special Tactics And Rescue Service (STARS) - is researching reports of the dead returning to life and becoming violent. During his search of the premises, Chris encounters the international criminal Glenn Arias, but Arias is able to elude capture.
